The storm .

A second day of strong wind and driving rain . Just like Scotland but warmer. The Atlantic storm that's been pounding the coast has worked its way inland. Despite the weather four municipal workmen show up to erect a bus shelter . This is surprising. Two years here and we've never seen a bus. It seems the mayor is determined to spend what remains of his budget before the end of the year .

Wilfs in a good place. While the gale rages outside he spends his day avoiding Madame Bay and sleeping, curled up, by the fire. We venture out in the morning and again in the evening during lulls in the storm . There's something calming about these gentle unhurried routines with a family dog . It's as if old PON's know '' the quieter you become the more you can hear " .

  4. There really is something about those moments when the chaos of life is quieted and it's just you and your beloved companion.

  5. Relaxing at home on a rainy day. How perfect for man and dog.
And there's Mme Bay to add a little entertainment if so desired.
Colorful chiffon to offset a gray day. Love to all.

  7. "Two years here and we've never seen a bus."...this is hardly the point....every village should surely have a bus shelter, just in case one should turn up !!!

  9. Curled up by a fire...the best place to be while the storm rages.

There must be a moral in having a useless bus shelter put up in the middle of a storm somewhere...but it escapes us.

  11. We have had the craziest weather ever here in AK. Freeze, snow, rain, thaw. Today it was in the 40s most of the day. Crazy as a bus shelter in your village.

  13. We live in France too. Here they have bus shelters for the children to wait for the school bus. No bus service for everyone else but the school kids need somewhere do need somewhere dry. I am always amazed at how the state looks after the future.
