Wilf prepares for the concert

The day of the concert. Wilf is lying on his side in the middle of the hallway pretending to be asleep while Madame Bay bustles frenetically around opening and closing windows and attacking the furniture with a duster and a can of bees wax. Today Madame Bay is dressed from head to toe in pink - or more correctly pinks - the pink leggings are definitely a different colour to the pink of the kaftan. Wilf will stay in this position until the dreaded vacuum cleaner comes out forcing him to flee to safety in the courtyard. He has already had his 45 minute walk in the industrial park, been for a bowl of water in the cafe, and had his hair tousled by the waitress with the attendant "Bonjour Veelfie" from the beer and absinthe drinkers.

Apologies for being remiss in answering your questions so herewith some quick responses.

KB at Rocking and Rolling. Yes, Wilf really is 25 kilos. He's big for a PON and has all the aerodynamic finesse of an anvil. His little brother was 22 kilos. However, when Wilf wants to chase a squirrel he can move at the speed of light. Someone once described him as being the canine version of a linebacker for the Cincinatti Bengals ( or I think that's what they said ).

Jake of Florida. Does he wear a harness because he pulls? No. He has a harness because of his habit of stopping for five minutes mid-walk ,and middle of the road, to look around and PON-der nature. This way we can pull the fluffy immovable lump out of dangers path should a car come along.

What sort of camera do we use ? All the photos on the blog are taken with the camera in the mobile phone - the only problem is the one second time lag between pressing the button and the shutter clicking. Hence the fact that many of the photos have an unintentional arty, slightly out of focus, feel to them.

Winchester Whisperer. In the absence of running water in the house is it acceptable to bathe in the swimming pool in France? Yes, as long as you do so alone and don't bring your soap or shampoo in with you.

KB ( again) - Have we sorted out how to fit 200 attendees onto 85 chairs? No - this is why I'm considering having a lunchtime glass of nerve calming wine. Mark you that's the least of our problems it's the morning of the concert and the ensemble are booked to fly with British Airways from London to Toulouse - please, please may this be one of the few days when they aren't on strike.

Pamela Terry and Edward. Is Wilf ready to play with a puppy ? Yes, although he's rather enjoying his new role as the sole centre of attention. Give it another month and he'll be bored with us and looking for company again.

  3. Enjoyed reading the Q & A. I haven't commented in quite some time, although I come everyday to read the latest post. The pictures are really good for a phone camera. My point and click Canon has a delay, too, so I usually get several shots of Tootie's backside. (Not the most attractive for a girl!) I am looking forward to pictures of the concert...sneak one in of Madame B for us!

  4. Thanks for the answers to our questions. I'm anxiously awaiting the concert report!

So, Wilf really IS 25 kg. Funny that I had a vision of a 10 kg dog based on his photos. He does sound like a linebacker in football!

  6. This is one of our favorite blogs because Wilf is so cute we just want to snuggle him!

It is amazing that a phone can take pictures that good. You must have a steady hand.

  7. Great Q and A!!

Perfect reason for a harness. We too have those moments when a 25-pound dog turns into a two-ton immobile statue.

Bonne chance at concert time!! Definitely time for a nerve-calming glass (or two) of wine!!

    xx Joan

  9. I hope the concert goes off without a hitch! I'll be waiting to hear about how it goes, because I'm sure it will be funny somehow!

It's hard for me to imagine Wilf as a linebacker. He's just so cute and fluffy!

The stadium has three lions on the sign because it's sponsored by a local auto retailer. That's their logo!

  11. Enjoyed the Q&A, thank you!

I wish my camera took photos as well as your cell phone does. It might actually but I've never had a digital camera before so I didn't initially realize that the viewfinder isn't really all that useful. I thought if you used it, whatever you were looking at through it would be what the picture would be. I'm finding out that's not the case. Instead of pictures of my dog's face, I'm getting pictures of his chest.

I'm curious as to what kind of concert you're having. I hope all goes well.

    I love Madame Bay!
