Sights, scents and sounds.

After the record breaking heat of the last few weeks autumn has finally arrived. Temperatures are back into the low 30's - much more enjoyable for all concerned. To Wilfs evident delight the arrival of the cooler weather also coincides with the plane trees shedding their foliage. On our morning walk he charged into the piles of fallen leaves rejoicing in the satisfying crunch they made as he ploughed his way, nose down, hind quarters up, along the lane. Smells, sights and now sounds. The perfect morning walk.

  2. We hit 25 Celsius today! It was great. Looks like loads more rain on the way, though.

  3. I love the look on Wilf's face!! Are you trying to teach him to climb a ladder so he can be the one to fix the tiles on the barn? Are you covered if you fall off one?

  5. I'll make a confession here. In our town, there's a leaf sucker that goes around several times a week and after people rake their leaves to the curb, the leaf sucker comes by and takes them away. Sometimes, I can't resist running through those piles before they get sucked up! I know, it's terrible, but it's great fun!

  6. In addition to a wonderful walk, it looks as if Wilf had supervising duty when he returned. Was he overseeing the tree workers? He's so funny!

  7. But look! Up in the sky! (Or at least on the ladder's step.) It's a SQUIRREL! Isn't it? Or am I seeing things?

Good boy Wilf. Keep that varmint up on that ladder all day and night. Roo Roo, Stuart
