Three and one .

Yesterday a foot of snow falls. Overnight it freezes. Wilf , happy as a lamb, ventures out of the front gate. He soon finds his Monday morning walk to be more challenging than he'd imagined . Arthritic legs and slippery surfaces making an unhappy combination . Three legs turn right. One turns left . A quick visit to the fire hydrant and he ventures , slowly , home . Small steps. One paw carefully placed in front of the other . Canine concentration at work .

Buttered toast for breakfast then a doze in front of the fire . An old PON's snowy start to the week here in deepest France Profonde .

  1. Polar bear in his element - love from Susanne, dAisy, Foxiie and every day more tiger Kiri

  2. Wilfy I am so jealous. You have snow. London has snow. Aberdeen, nothing!
    Boo hoo.

  3. Stay warm and have a rest today, Wilfie Pon and enjoy the snow from the window! Make plans for tomorrow. Imagine all those christenings! Merlin was attached to his own weight in snow balls yesterday by the time he came home which took a bath full of water to melt off. Sending you distance kisses fluffy boy and have a lovely day xx

  4. Snow always looks lovely before it turns to slush. Glad Wilf enjoys it...even if he's slow.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & roxy

  5. Angus, your pictures again today have shown the beautiful silence that only snow can bring!

  6. Put the wreath back on the front door and grab your bobble hat! Time to take a family Christmas photo with Wilf and the font while the farmhouse looks so beautiful covered in snow!

  7. Wow, a foot of snow? Has Wilfie seen that much since you moved from Scotland? Did he see that much in Scotland?

  8. Your house looks so lovely in the snow. It's a perfect day for some very special photos of Wilf. He is in his element and the soft grays and browns only enhance his natural beauty. Love and a roaring fire to you.

  9. Your town looks so peaceful in those pictures. I love that Wilf is standing in the middle of the road (or so it looks in the pictures) and there isn't a vehicle in site.

  10. Beautiful photos of Wilfee under the snow falling, walking alone in the middle of the road. Thanks for sharing Angus !
Bonne journée, and, courage for the cold !
Bisous and warm cuddles to the sweet Wilfee boy.

  11. Ah, Wilfee, it looks like you have more snow than we do! Usually by the start of February we are up to our knees or deeper in the stuff. Now, just barely covering the ground, and often, not.

I am told by people older than I that this kind of winter has been here before, but not to my recollection. Strange, indeed.

    Jo, Stella and Zkhat

  12. We love your snow photos, Wilf! Stay warm there, ok?

    Love always,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Max, Wai-Pai & Forgie

  13. I know precisely how he feels.
I slip and slide like a muppet every time it snows.

  14. You did get alot of snow!!! Take care on the ice! We shuffle here from November to April!! Keep on going Wilf, handsome boy!

With love from your Canadian pals,
Dianna along with Tor, Willow and Tucker

  15. That is a lot of snow! It makes for pretty pictures, but does also make you feel the chill. Stay warm and safe!

  16. Buttered toast is kind of like a croissant...

  17. We have had a very mild winter here in CA. Not any rain to speak of and never snow. Take care the pictures are wonderful.

  18. i can feel the silence in your exquisite pictures that only snow can bring.
i love knowing wilfee is so happy in his true element!
picturing you all now cozying up to the fire and eating wonderful font's delicious cooking!

  19. Only Wilf makes these pictures seem real. Stay warm and enjoy lots of that buttered toast.

  20. I think you are getting our snow and cold weather, it was sunny and 51 degrees here today.
    Stay warm and safe.

    Blessings and Love,
    Janelle, Maggie Mae and Max

  21. A foot of snow? I thought that it was always warm in your area. I guess not...

Buttered toast and snoozing by a fire sound divine.
