"C'est bizarre" said Madame Bay eyeing up the hugely expensive emerald green silk tablecloth /acrylic sari with machined edelweis motif. "C'est bizarre" is a phrase used by Madame Bay to deal with anything that is not French and therefore to be treated with grave suspicion. It is a mystery why Madame Bay should think a sari is bizarre when her own dress sense is somewhat 'off the wall' . I did not voice this thought .
The autan wind is still howling away , stripping the leaves from the trees and carpeting the lawn with chestnuts . Wilf appeared at the breakfast table, eyes bright, rugby ball in mouth, ready for some random parabola drop kicking. His morning message - ' My religion of life is always to be cheerful'
It sounds like Madame Bay has the final word when it comes to fashion.
ReplyDeletei can see the wind blowing Wilf in the first pic! i always like Wilf's morning message!

Oh my. C'est bizzare. I'll have to use that when Juno is done making her modifications on my American Dansko shoes. or perhaps it may be better used with my cracked-out cujo from Taiwan. hmmm... so many good uses for the phrase.
ReplyDeleteWow...when even your in-house peacock disapproves....quell domage!
ReplyDeletePetey's philosophy is "Everyone's happy to see me and there may be cookies." he proved the former to be quite true yesterday at the beach when he convinced no fewer than a dozen strangers to stop what they were doing and play ball with him.
We're picturing one of those Bollywood-type scenes where you (or the font) hold one end of the tablecloth/sari and Madame Bay wraps herself into it, twirling like a dervish to syncopated music and the cheers and whistles of her approving audience.
ReplyDeleteThat would indeed be "tres bizarre."

Madame Bay seems to be a constant source of smiles at your house (and here in Colorado). Too bad that she didn't love the sari... Based on her usual outfits, I might've thought that she'd love it!
ReplyDeleteShe could donate it to the next Beautiful Highways raffle?
ReplyDeleteI really thought Madame Bay would be all about the sari! If nothing else, it would make one heck of a turban!
ReplyDeleteAhh, Wilf, you know how to keep it in perspective!
Wonderful hair !!!!! Thanks for the new catch phrase: daysC'est bizzare. I think I will call Lala that!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs & smoochies!! XOXO

oh we so wish we could see a pic of madame bay she sounds like a hoot!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to what Madame Bay will do with the tablecloth/acrylic sari. I wonder if she'll wear it as is or make it into something else.
ReplyDeleteSorry the font didn't care for it.
