And in this summer you have have found the simplest and most lasting joys...Know that here in Virginia, you are all in our prayers that the 'summer' continues.
I'm sorry for the bad night. Wilf has managed a lot of lovely summer days he was told he would not have. Must be a special PON gift to do that. I hope there are more of those.
"All we need is the truth in our hand. Someone to call a friend. Never fear the darkness. All we need is just the sun in the sky. And the hope of a summer to come with the meaning of love.” - Albert Camus
Give Wilf a hug for us - we are saying prayers for you.
As Kim at Golden Pines said, we here in Virginia are holding you all in our hearts.
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace." - Milan Kundera
Here's to sitting on a hillside with Wilf. Forever.
Away from my computer for a few days, I find myself worrying about a dog I've never met. Sending more love and cuddles to our dear Wilf. Gail and Bertie,
Heartbreaking news. Our prayers continue to be with our brave, loving boy. Sometimes we must learn to recognize a different summer. Was his rough night due to his physical discomfort or was he distressed at his own confusion? I care for my mother who has end stage Alzheimers. She is completely confused, doesn't know who she is and doesn't recognize herself in the mirror. She cannot swallow, walk or control her own bodily functions. But for all of the things she is not, what she is is happy. She'll babble merrily with a lamp and share big belly laughs with the water pitcher. She is awake at night and laughs chatters and sings throughout the night, finally falling into sleep about 4AM. Each day, another part of my soul goes anoxic and I wither a bit more. But not mum. Her physician has said he never saw a happier case. I hope that dear Will finds his summer, lush with green grass, rolling hills and sunny days..And I hope that, in his summer, you can find your own comfort.
once again we have a chance to have a brief time on the internet, and immediately must come to see you Wilf. Angus and the font too. Holding y"all in our hearts and praying for as many more summer days as possible. Dear Wilf. Hope you have easy nights and days. Wish we had the words for what is in our hearts. Much love to you boy and to your people.
