In good hands

We have to be in London today . Wilf has been left in good hands . The house stocked with chicken , coconut ice cream and tuna.

  1. Safe travels and a swift return. Sure hope this isn't an emergency with Granny Font. I imagine Wilf will probably sleep through most of your absence.

    All the best,

    Jane and Petey

  3. A hard day for Lady Font, and Angus too, all my thoughts for you, during this Wednesday.
I hope Wilfee will sleep all the day, and wake up just when you return.
Lovely video, so calm, it is a grand "bonheur" to see Wilfee walking quietly on the road.
    AmitiƩs to you.

  4. Angus I'd wondered if you'd let us know about the funeral. Guess in your own way you have. Wishing you and all the family, but specially the font , peace and strength on this most difficult of days. Wilf will hold on for you. Frm the video I can see he's fighting and holding on . Sheena and your friends in LA.

  10. What a sweet video vignette . I can only agree with everyone else. He'll hold on . Yesterday you commented that your vet quoted Samuel Beckett. Not such a surprise. Beckett wrote in French and then translated back into English . Such are the things you remember from college days. Love Freeda and Max the Labrador.

  11. When I saw the title of the blog this morning and just one picture, I stopped breating for a second, till I could read the message and found Wilf was fine. I adore seeing Wilf walking around, he does remind me of a polar bear in his walking around.Enjoyed seeing another viedo of Wilf.He is so cute moving around.

Like every one else, I feel he will sleep waiting for the both of you to return home. I don't know who is with him today, hope they spoil him with all the foods you left him.

He will be shaking all over when he hears you both come home. I know all three of you will be happy to be back together.

    Love and hugs to Wilf.

  18. If one listens to the sounds, it is as though I am at home in my backyard listening. Funny, isn't it? Half a world away and the birds sing the same songs, old dogs meander down the same roads and the sun shines just as brightly.

Safe travels to you both, Nancy (and Dozer and Cooper) in Oregon

  22. I have gathered from comments that you have a funeral to attend. I am sorry for the loss that you and 'the font' must be feeling. As for Wilf, thank you for the video, he looks wonderful! Your corner of the world is charming and beautiful.

I don't know about you, but I actually won't worry about Wilf today, he spent an hour with the vet yesterday who would surely have said something if he thought the moment would be absolutely imminent or that you should not leave him . ..and well, just look at Wilf in that video. He is keeping on keeping on. Plus he has coconut icecream to cheer him until you return home, and I bet whoever is with him is giving him lots of love. If I could spend the day with Wilf I think my arms would be wrapped around him most of the time. Wilf would probably find me highly annoying and odd!
