A thespian PON.
Angus heads off to talk to serious folk in dark suits. A five am departure. The line " it puts kibbles in the bowl " doesn't wash with Wilf. He does his Mr.Glum routine. Sad face resting on paws. A thespian PON. I think it may be the black leather shoes and the suit that give the game away.
Before I go ' the font ' reminded that the old fellow needs a walk in the garden every forty five minutes after his seven in the morning and six in the evening insulin injections . A sleep deprived '' Yes. yes I know " from somewhere under the duvet.
'' I'll be back on Tuesday '' I say to Wilf when closing the front door. He's already asleep .

I still wonder what you do for a living!
ReplyDeleteI never figured out why people try to talk to people who are still in bed in the morning. Don't they know that the bed person will agree to almost anything? :)
ReplyDeleteHi there Mongoose, Wilf and the Font,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see that Wilf chuggs along. He really has done so well in the past year and its lovely to see that his spirit hasn't dwindled.
Hope you are witnessing the first signs of Spring. Here, our summer and rain continues.
With love
MAXMOM IN SOUTH AFRICA
Well, the Oscars are on Sunday. Perhaps Wilf is perfecting his craft. Safe travels, Angus.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels Angus...and sweet dreams to 'the font', and to Wilfy of course!
ReplyDeletexo J~
The shoes are always a dead give-a-way.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Just 'kibble in the bowl' we're subjected to a lecture about how most of the third world would love to have free room, board, medical and retirement plans.
I think the last picture of Wilf sticking his tongue out says how he feels about your being gone, Angus!
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well on your trip and it's a safe one!
We're with scotsmad. It's all about the shoes.
ReplyDeleteTuesday will seem like forever in PON time. We know Wilf's tummy will be happy but nothing like all of his flock present and accounted for, is there.
Safe trip, Angus. Good luck at security.
At least Wilf will eat like a king in your absence
ReplyDeleteSlan abhaile, Angus. Wilf will be happy to have you back, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteall of the above ... plus...
ReplyDeletewe will wait with bated breath until marshal dillon arrives back in dodge. i know you have to go. but oh!
safe trip marshal,
tammy j
ps
and font... well... the one who keeps it all running smoothly behind the scenes with fabulous taste in all things and especially cuisine, is never taken for granted!
Safe trip, Angus! A bit more bonding time with the Font and Wilf til you get back.
ReplyDeleteThat 2nd photo of Wilf is just too adorable. Good luck with your meetings.
Love,
Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Max, Wai-Pai & Forgie
Well, the Oscars are being awarded this evening! Perhaps Wilf is just brushing up in hopes of being handed the canine award for best actor in a starring role. Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteThey will miss you, but I'm sure Wilf will get something special to eat while you are away.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, Angus.
ReplyDeleteDogs always know when you're going away.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Wilf is sticking his tongue out at the camera! Its funny how animals always know when you are going away. Our old black lab would sit in the car for hours every Friday, because we'd be heading up to the cottage Friday evening. He'd wait patiently. Bless. Keep on going Wilf, handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteWith love from your stormy, wintry Canadian pals,
Dianna along with Tor, Willow and Tucker
I have a hard time going away now... with K's lease on life being short. But, kibbles are essential so I'm sure that Wilf will understand and the font will spoil him with gourmet food.
ReplyDeleteI did see that the NYT has caught wind of my very odd sport.
