Doctor or tax man ?

Back on the first flight . At four thirty the airport eerily quiet . That strange , tiring, harsh neon light that you only find in large public spaces before dawn . For once I don't set off the security systems .

Home in time to pick up Wilf and take him down to town for his morning constitutional. I'm still in a suit and tie .This seems to slightly alarm the track suit wearing beer and absinthe set who look at me in much the same way as they might look at a doctor or a tax inspector . Wilf still gets his half croissant.

  1. I don't suppose Wilf cares what the beer and absinthe set think, and neither do we, so long as his half croissant arrives and is happily consumed.

  2. I wonder which you would prefer to be of those choices... or are you really a tax inspector.
SO pleased Wilf is sleeping through the night again :)

  4. A suit in the morning. Sometimes it takes awhile to get over the shock. Love the backdrop picture in the shop....

  6. angus... while growing up in scotland (or later, by way of nostalgia channels) did you ever watch the old show... "gunsmoke?"
on some shows marshal matt dillon would have to ride out of dodge to take care of something.
i knew it was a bad thing. always felt so much better when marshal dillon rode back into town!
your suit to me is a badge. and wilf is safe now. (not in the least implying that the beautiful font is chester, left in charge.)
it just feels better when the man who is tall in the saddle is home. and to me you sit very tall in the saddle.
love to you three in the france profonde!

  7. I've been given that same look when patients see me outside of the office without a mask or wearing scrubs, etc -- Perhaps if it hadn't been for Wilf, the beer and absinthe set would not have recognized you either! ;-) Enjoy your day Angus!

  9. Aside from the questioning of the suit, do you think they even recognized you at all? Or were they wondering who Wilf's new friend was and where was Angus! Bless you for comming home soon. We are so happy it was possible for you to do so. But no one is happier than Wilf! Our love to you.

  13. The looks on Wilf's face in the first two pictures are priceless...as though he's seen the photo of "Merkozy" for himself and is quite sceptical, indeed (or at least bemused, which is I think how most of us feel.)

  14. Was Wilf as dazzled by your dress and the beer and absinthe crowd was? He is the guy you want to impress, y'know.

    Cheers,
