The top of the list.

Cloudless skies, radiant sunshine , the cows at the gate lowing peacefully . Wilf dozes under a palm tree. Angus spends Saturday afternoon planting out the geraniums . Window boxes abloom with scarlet . Now all the plants are out, and in their place, you can be sure that arctic temperatures and Hebridean winds can't be far away . Whenever Angus ventures into the garden frost is guaranteed.

Scotland lose to Italy in the rugby . Losing is bad enough but losing to Italy ! Scotland come last . At one moment of great emotion Angus knocks over his beer and Pringles. Wilf wakes from a deep sleep, hurtles across the floor, locates the Pringles, and then quickly swallows four of them . Faster than a speeding bullet . Angus is impressed . If only the Scottish rugby team were half as quick. Wilf has now added sour cream and onion Pringles to his list of absolute favourites . They're right up at the top of the list alongside coconut ice cream, Jaffa Cakes and mustard .

Wilf spends the rest of his day hoping that more Pringles will fall onto the floor . He waits patiently for another miracle. Old PON wisdom : " Once you have tasted flight , you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward , for there you have been, and there you will always long to return ".

Now you ventured into the garden, Angus, i ask myself if it's a good idea to plant the lavender... Are you able to send Brittany some rain too ?
I wish you a lovely and peaceful Sunday.
    Bisous to my beloved Wilfee.

  6. The weather here in sunny Aberdeenshire was sunny too- 4 degrees of frost overnight. I was thinking of putting my pelargoniums out; but pleased I didn't. Haircut for sheepdog scheduled for the end of the month. That may be too soon....

Have you thought of getting him to come home by leaving a trail of mustardy Jaffa cakes leading to the house door.

  7. Oh Wilf, you made me smile with the vision of you "hurtling across the floor" to snarf the Pringles!

I have similar garden luck as Angus... Get out your parkas.

  8. We will keep the Arctic chill to ourselves. We have plenty of sour cream & onion Pringles here too. Maybe FiFi the PONsel was on her way for a snack since her owner works at the market!

    Lovely photos. Good luck geraniums!

  10. That first photo of Wilf made me smile and laugh; repeated on reading about the Pringles. HA.
We're in the middle of March Madness in college basketball. Sorry about Scotland's loss.

  12. Love reading about Wilf's adventures and was hoping someone might have made a comment about onion not being good for a dog's kidneys? Not sure if there is any real onion in pringles - or anything "real" in pringles in general :-) but thought you may want to check.

Best wishes for many more great memories to be made with Wilf.

  16. Pringles too! Fabulous! Well rounded meal I say. We too are having a very strange day here on the prairies. We are currently sitting at 20 degrees celcius. Very odd for March. Fingers crossed more Pringles find their way in Wilf's direction. We are having a 16th birthday dinner for the teenager in the house. There might be coconut ice cream! Keep on going Wilf!

With love from your Canadian pals,

  18. Mr Wilf, maybe you need to coach the rugby team. Pringles are a good treat, and worth diving for.

    Sweet dreams Mr Wilfie.
