It's taken Wilf all of half an hour to work out that ' the font ' has headed off for a week to look after the family . Not even the prospect of lying in the long cool grass with his latest toy can compensate for the thought of a prolonged stretch in the culinary wilderness with Angus as chef . He's settled down by the front door , looking decidedly mournful , clearly hoping that a sausage delivery man will magically appear . His Monday morning philosophy , " Fill what's empty . Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches " .
I think I'll do the same thing. If the sausage man comes by, I'll send him your way!
ReplyDeletePoor forlorn Wilf! On the bright side, who knows what wonderful noise-making toy the font will bring back with her for Wilf's delight.
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
Wilf, where would I be without his wisdom now, he has become part of my day.
ReplyDeleteGo on take him for a tasty sausage treat - you know you want to.
Hey Wilf, cheer up. Pizza. Late night trash TV. It could be worse!
ReplyDeletePoor little Wilfie - sausages and little ice cream maybe helps... Love from all of us - Susanne Daisy and Foxiie
ReplyDeleteAh hope the week goes quickly for you, Wilf!
ReplyDeleteBut we reckon you'll be spoilt anyway!
take care
Clive and Murray
No interest in his new toy today?
ReplyDeleteOh Wilf! Perhaps Madame Bay will take pity on you. Surely there will be some pizza bones or other good stuff to partake of while you two fellows enjoy life for the week!
ReplyDeleteThe day after Mother's Day she just takes off. Like its nothing? Food is definitely going to help here, but about the time Wilf gives up on her, she will be home and all forgotten and forgiven.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Wilf!
Your pal,
Stella
Our poor family fellow! The flock has a missing member! Lots of extra love and attention needed here. We know how much Wilf is unsettled when one of you travels. The font would never leave loved ones without preparing delicious meals for easy reheating.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying that Wilf's diabetes stays stable in the font's absence. All of our love.
Oh sorry for being so rude; we hope all is well with the font's family.
A picture of Edward whilst I was away.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the reason 'the font' left was because of family and not because of listening to Wilf's toy over and over and over again!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Wilf have had an enjoyable day and the sausage man magically appeared!
If I could post some sausages post haste, I certainly would! Not sure if Customs would like that tho.....sending Wilf some cyber sausages! Keep on going Wilf!
ReplyDeleteWith love your Canadian pals,
Dianna along with Tor, Willow and Tucker
Man (and dog) cannot live by bread alone .... but if it's accompanied by the occasional sausage - that's different.
ReplyDeletePoor Wilf!
ReplyDeleteOne week the old rugby sock serves as an odiferous satchel for his latest toy. Now he has to seriously consider whether the old sock is actually edible. No wonder he is soooo gloomy...
You need to break out the Jaffa cakes or coconut ice cream for an emergency like this.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
I do hope 'the font' returns soon.
ReplyDeleteNow go and get that poor dog a sausage!
x (for Wilf!)
Before the week is out, he'll have learned to speed dial pizza delivery!
ReplyDeleteWe're picturing M.Ongoose sharing Wilf's spot by the front door, waiting for the Mistress of the House to return and all being right with the world once again.
