The PON with zen .
Ten to five on a sunny Tuesday afternoon in South West France . Monsieur Risotto has been busy digging a trench under the oak trees to find the source of the chlorinated water that bubbles , spring like , from the lawn . He waves at me from his large mechanical excavator - " We're nearly done " . At that very moment he snags a power cable .
While Angus frets about spending a night ( and much of Wednesday morning ) without electricity , Wilf curls up on his brothers old bed for a lengthy nap . " Adopt the pace of nature : her secret is patience " . Wilf : The PON with zen . Sensible old thing .

The workmen saga - wishing you good luck!
ReplyDeletePrettiest boy in Southern France is Wilf - so cute. Maybe he still smells his brother in this little bed? Love from Southern Italy Susanne, Daisy and Foxiie
I got a lil worried not seeing your post come noontime here... silly me.
ReplyDeleteGlad both of you are fine. Have a sweet day with Mister Wilfee. His pace is more sensible any time of the day.
Wilf - your photos look like the epitome of relaxed. Sweet dreams buddy boy.
ReplyDeleteWe knew something was up, when your post wasn't there for us to enjoy over breakfast.
ReplyDeleteNow when Monsieur Risotto said he was 'nearly done' did he mean done digging the trench or done actually locating and fixing the source of the problem??
Good to see Wilfy looking so comfy on his cushion.
I assume Monsieur Risotto was fit and well after his 'power surge' !? Hope the mystery of the lawn with plume is sorted out for you soon.
ReplyDeleteNever a dull moment, hopefully all is well now or at least moving in that direction.
ReplyDeleteHugs for Wilf, but please don't wake him up, he looks so relaxed. ;)
Blessings and Love,
Maggie Mae
OMG ! How much worried i was this morning when i didn't find Angus' Wednesday's morning post !
ReplyDeleteFortunately, all is well, even my beloved Wilfee, and i can see, i wasn't alone to stress...
Have a beautiful day, Angus, hope you have good news from the Font.
AmitiƩs to you, and lots of bisous to the zen boy.
Nothing I can do about the situation, might as well enjoy the peace and quiet (Wilfies motto of the day) Hugs to all hope you got your electricity back. These remodels are always more involved than first glance would indicate.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming Wilf had no television programs to watch or computer games he wished to play. Take advice from a wise dog - a nap is always in order.
ReplyDelete" We're almost done". Hmm. We can't seem to recall now, but what is it called when one changes a statement's word stress and intonation thus giving it an entirely different meaning?
ReplyDeleteWe hope Mr. Risotto wasn't almost done. The live end of a broken power line and all that water. Not a good thing.
Once again, in times of stress, we look to our wise and wonderful Wilf for the answers.
Famous last words, Mssr. Risotto! I sure hope you didn't have to go that long without power. I was worried about not seeing your post come up. I'm glad it's more of an inconvenience sort of thing than something more dire!
ReplyDeleteI should have known.
ReplyDeleteDigby's old bed is identical to Edward's. Although Edward's is paisley velvet instead of blue. It fits a polar sheepdog perfectly.
Did Wilf notice the lack of power? Was the ice cream melted?
ReplyDeleteZach's mom
Zach went to be with Digby in the dog park in heaven the other day.
Nice napping photos of Wilf. We do hope that you did not have to wait too long for the power can back on.
ReplyDeleteThe bed also looks sooooo comfty!

ReplyDeleteNext Wilf will be doing yoga!! Zen indeed! Clever wisdom from a wise old dog.....hopefully things will get sorted for you!
ReplyDeleteI post everyday, but for some reason, it just doesn't work! I shall persevere.....
With love from your Canadian pals,

Did you ever see the old movie with cary grant and myrna loy called 'mr blandings builds his dream house'... you really should watch it again! perfect analogy for the france profonde.
ReplyDeletehe has to be comforted by digby's bed. he looks so small and cuddly. dreaming of lizards and digby and ice cream and the font.... :)
keep fighting the good fight. oh no. wait. the zen way is to just be... and the chlorine water problem will be taken care of. yes. i can see it now.
love and hugs to 2 boys in the south of france,
