Tired ? Moi ?
Three o'clock on Saturday morning . Wilf is asleep on his back snoring contentedly away . Angus is watching Scotland nearly lose to Romania in the World Cup Rugby. After a good first half everything seems to go wrong in the second . Maybe the team is suffering from jet lag ? At one point Romania is ahead 24-21. Wilf raises an eyebrow as Angus becomes ever more impassioned . Final score Scotland 34 , Romania 24 .
This morning Wilf is suffering from a bad hair day . He chooses not to join me on the croissant run into town, opting instead to complete his beauty sleep . Angus has three cups of coffee at the bar under the arcades returning to find a PON with his chin resting on the front doorstep breathing gently .
After his late night Wilf has that ' I'm not asleep but that doesn't mean I'm awake ' look to him .
Now eight o'clock on Saturday morning . Across the lane in the village hall the local farmers and their sons are already congregating to watch France play Japan . It's going to be a long seven weeks.

Are you sure it shouldn't be 'Angus' in that last sentence....?
ReplyDeletehey Wilf,
ReplyDeleteI know about those bad hair days. With a Summer of heat and humidity, my fur has been looking a bit wild. But I think you look adorable! Kind-of have that Alfalfa look going on (from "The Little Rascals"). :->
Yay to Scotland! My human has some Scottish blood so she is happy to read Scotland won!

Doesn't France have DVR's? 3am indeed! :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice to be able to watch it in our own time zone for a change! A privilege to have so many visitors and viewers :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Scotland.
ReplyDeleteThree cups of coffee! Is that a lack of sleep or one to many celebratory (or edge of your seat) glasses of champagne?
Scotland won !!! What about champagne ? Only three coffee to celebrate such an intense moment... As i am writing, France wins at 35 to 21, yeepeee !
ReplyDeleteHappy to read on your yesterday post that Wilfee had a lovely week without blood.

ReplyDeleteHello Angus and Wilf,
ReplyDeleteBad hair days are great looking hair days! You know how we love seeing Wilf's hair all up and different directions. One of the Piappies - Wai-Max always has a bad hair day and we always get the look of "why is my fur always not cooperating in one direction"?!
Good luck with the rugby games! Go Scotland!
Love,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Pai, Wai-Max & Forgie
I will have to check our local listings to see when some games are televised. Best of luck to Scotland! Hugs for Wilf.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Love,
