One happy dog.

While the household slept Wilf and yours truly went out in the cool morning air for a walk through the sunflower fields. You can tell immediately when Wilf is happy. He walks confidently ahead with a jaunty spring in his step savouring the scents from each stalk and stem. This morning he was clearly very happy.

Back in time for the frenzied chaos that is a family breakfast. As he settled on the floor the look on his face said ' this is the way it's meant to be'. Canine contentment.

  2. I just cannot get over those fields of sunflowers! I've never seen anything like it. I'm not a big fan of sunflowers but a whole field of them is actually really pretty!

Knowing Wilf is content makes me happy.

  3. There is nothing like a cool morning walk to make a dog happy. I myself have just returned from one around Duthie Park, where there are no sunflowers but some lovely roses just now. Of course, if you live in Aberdeen, you can also have cool lunchtime walks, cool afternoon walks and cool evening walks, any time of the year!
    Toodle pip!

  4. So now you know - he's told you he's OK. And I think he is, he looks happy. I will look at the last sunflowers pic in the afternoon to see if they have followed the sun :PPPPP I most certainly expect that :P

  6. Hi Angus! I thought something was wrong with blogger at first and I realize you have a new layout--I like how you've "freshened up" the page! :-)
I really enjoy the pictures of the sunflowers! I know the photos cannot take in how amazing it is to see them all and be standing in front of them--Just incredible! If I had them around, like Wilf, I'd be happy too! Dare we to think that there could possibly be a sunflower festival?

  13. "Jaunty". That's the precise word that comes to my mind every time I walk Edward. These sheepdogs seem to have springs on their ankles like Tigger.

I love the new look here! Was this the decorator's idea?
