It works.

For the princely sum of $5.90 we have another years access to Google .

This is the view of the rickety old farmhouse from the village green this morning . Mist ! Another sign that our Indian summer is drifting to a close.

After a difficult night Wilf managed a circumnavigation of the box hedge around the war memorial, visited the fire hydrant and is now sound asleep .

Hope this day will be better for Wilfee, and you...

  5. That's a gorgeous photo - it looks otherworldly.

I hope that Wilf rebounds from his difficult nights. Perhaps he just needs his routine back in place with you at home after your short trip.

  8. I hope it is alright that I saved your photo image to my desktop. It is so beautiful. I went to England and France this past summer and this reminds me of some of the views I saw.

We send our very best to Wilf. Our Cooper (age 15) now has breakfast and then naps for 4 hours to work up the energy for a walkabout and another nap in the afternoon. But he is happy and really, that is all we can ask out of life.

  9. Hope Wilf rests up today and you have a better night tonight.
Our dog will be 15 this week and has had a few health problems-one which may take her from us. She continues to give us much more joy than worry.

  10. Maybe a few too many treats from well meaning workman. Once Wilf's routine is in place again, he'll feel better. Always sad to hear of bad nights.
Two of my cats went to surgery yesterday. The 18 year old female for a small benign growth on her ear, the 5 year old for major cancer surgery with not a good prognosis. So you just never know.
Your photo is breathtaking. Your house looks gorgeous; a sense of enchantment about it. Praying for a good day for Wilf. Kiss him for us, will you.

Thinking of you, 'the font' & Wilf today, and hoping that tonight is much easier.

  12. Beautiful photo and a deal! Today is a good day! We here in Canada are drawing to a close what was considered autumn. We don't typically get a very long one, and this year's seems like we have missed out. Very short. The geese are flying in large V's, very high and heading south. We all know on the wretched prairies what that means. Snow. And soon.

Let's hope Wilf's night is more kind. Keep on going Wilf, handsome boy!!

With love from your Canadian pals,
Dianna along with Tor, Willow and Tucker

  19. Your photo has such an amazing ethereal quality, and would make a wonderful header photo if you continue blogging about your village in the future.

Sending lots of love to Wilf, and hoping he has a better night tonight, before watching the antics of Jack Russels and Frenchmen on Saturday morning during the semi-final game.

  23. It bears repeating: what an enchanting picture! Hope Wilf's nights are more restful - which will make yours more restful, too. Maybe he just needed that touch of vole to balance his system.
