Last speech given there's an hour and a half free before heading to the airport and the British Airways flight back to London . Time to get some quick shopping in Delhi . The first port of call a mistake . One of those marble tourist traps full of overly friendly men trying to sell carpets or fake diamond jewellery . Finally , down a side street off Connaught Circle a real find . The sort of old fashioned , family run store , that you can only find in India . Full of absolute marvels . For a moment the idea of buying a sari flits through my mind . Then the problem . How do you choose a sari ?
A good day. The manic water drinking seemed to be coming back under control. Then a tough night . The third in a row .Pit stops every hour from eleven thirty onwards . This time accompanied by him pacing backwards and forwards , unable to settle . Much crying and agitated biting of his back paw . Not at all like placid Mr Wilf and a sure sign that somethings not right . A trip to the vet , whoever is on duty , will need to be arranged for later today . Through it all he remains a gentle companion . His motto : " It is easier to go down a hill than up , but the view is from the top " .

Dear Wilf, here's hoping you have a quieter day and that the vet can help.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you with paws crossed (OK, I admit that mostly I cross my paws 'cos Gail seems to think it looks cute and sometimes gives me an unscheduled treat....)
Toodle pip!

You're always on my mind, sweet boy.
ReplyDeleteoh wilfy hang in there buddy...
ReplyDeleteHope that Vet knows the best way to give dear Wilf a spring in his step again.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you, dearest Wilf.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you have some neuropathy from your diabetes in that back foot.. The vet can help it to feel better. We beg God it is something easily treatable. All of our love to you.
At least when you buy a sari, you don't have to worry about getting the wrong size--But I suppose getting the color right would be just as important.
ReplyDeleteI found myself thinking of Wilf yesterday, and am sorry to hear that he's having some discomfort in his paw--I hope that the 'haughty young Parisienne' is not on duty and he's met with kindness and compassion instead.
Wilf,
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you and your family, and hoping that you get to see the vet that you like.
Gentle woofs from afar,
Riley
Dearest Wilf, hoping for the wonderful wise vet to be on duty with the needed answers and able to solve that nasty foot problem pronto...all here holding you in our thoughts.DBH
ReplyDeletePaws crossed for the vet visit.
ReplyDeleteI think the saris are beautiful, but somehow, I can't picture 'the font' wearing one!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping to some relief from the vet and a more restful night. We had a tough night here with our old lady, too.
Prayers your way for the compassionate vet and good news for Wilf. No doubt he is relieved you're home from your journey, even if you didn't bring him a sari.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, so sorry that Wilf is having issues. Will be keeping him close to my heart in prayer.
ReplyDeleteWe seem to remember a previous green fabric purchased in India...
ReplyDeletePositive thoughts for Wilf's vet visit and a more restful night.

i will be waiting with bated breath to hear about wilf. and i'm afraid if it's that young, unfeeling vet, i'd have to give her a piece of my mind. she's in the wrong business. tj

ReplyDeleteMy heart hurts for you, Wilf! I hope it's nothing too serious and that you'll be feeling better soon. Please do keep us up to date because I worry so much about you.
