Normal service resumed .

Back from Asia to be met at the airport by ' the font ' and Wilf . It was a French national holiday and the terminal was full to the gunnals with noisy vacationers. Not that this seething mass of humanity bothered Wilf . Bored with waiting he had turned on his back, stuck his paws in the air and drifted off into a happy , oblivious to everything , sleep . It took him a few seconds to wake up and realise that I was tickling his tummy . Then he was on his feet doing his ' Rejoice with me , for I have found my sheep which was lost ' dance - paws and rear end moving in uncoordinated excitement .

He's been a bit under the weather for the last few days . Maybe it's stress , maybe it's the liver .The intake of water has become alarming - a full bowl every hour during the day and perhaps every two hours at night . Truly manic . If he doesn't improve a trip to the vets is on the cards . Wilf of course is unconcerned . He takes the view that being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It just means you've got to look past the imperfections .

  9. Thank goodness the flock is together again!
I seem to recall another time, when a flock member went missing for a few days , Wilf's consumption of water increased alarmingly but returned to normal when the flock was together again. Praying - hard- that it will be the same this time.
Better tiger mats than tiger skins.

  13. Your travel pace is awe inspiring... I need a nap too! If it is of any comfort, our 12 year old standard poodle, the Diva Halle, drinks copious amounts of water (has done so all of her life) .... enjoy the weekend! Ina in Alaska

  18. We missed you too! We do hope that Wilf's extreme water consumption is indeed the result of stress. Did it start right after you left?

We all need our daily dose of Wilfdom!

And more tales about your Asian trip!

^^I have this same quote on my blog.

I hope everything is ok with Wilf and that he won't require another visit to the vet.

  20. Kari took the words right out of our mouths. Welcome home, Mongoose. Hope Wilf is doing better. Can you call ahead and schedule an appointment with a specific vet? Mama makes sure we just see our favorite vet, every time.
