First christen, then sleep.

Wilf goes to the honey museum with ' the font '. He then spends the rest of the morning in the kitchen . Carpaccio de saumon et d' avocat au miel followed by filet mignons de porc marines au miel de chataignier et a l ' orange . Wilfs advice to the chef ? " Maybe just a bit more honey " . Once again the restorative powers of a morning in the kitchen become obvious . After lunch he reluctantly has his face washed . Honey and long haired PONs not a combination made in heaven .

Angus goes out to the supermarket for milk. He returns with foie gras souffles. ' The font ' fails to share his enthusiasm for this local delicacy . They are put in the back of the fridge .

A weekend spent stacking wood. For some reason the wood surgeon has carved a seat out of a piece of the tree trunk . Angus thinks this an odd thing to do. ' The font ' , as ever predisposed to looking on the bright side of things, pronounces it ' surprisingly comfortable ' . Wilf shows what he thinks by christening it and then retiring into the hallway to turn on his back, fall asleep and snore .

  4. We knew the food situation would improve with the return of the font...sounds like a B-grade movie.

    Those souffles look PON sized.

  5. I like the creative flair of the tree surgeon. I think the seat would look good with a pot of flowers on it...

    Enjoy your day!!

  6. Happy about Wilf's food enthusiasm - he is just a good eater and when his Lady Font is gone.... he waits!

  8. That tree seat is really industrious. The guy obviously thinks he'll be returning soon to do more work - assured that he doesn't have to bring along his own chair, lol.
Glad to see that dearest Wilf still chuggs on...such a sweet fella! Love that pic of him on his back.
Hope you are all well Angus.

  10. There's a museum dedicated to honey?! You DO have everything over there!

I'm glad to see that the return of 'the font' has made Wilf feel better! :)

I've seen many tree stump seats here. Many. Our neighbor across the street likes to practice chain saw art. Usually early on Saturday morning...

  11. I like the chair - but I do remember discussions of grinding up stumps so I'm guessing that the chair won't be there for too long!

I love the photo of sweet Wilf snoozing on his back.

  12. Clearly the font is Wilf's best remedy (and her gourmet cuisine!). As for the carved wooden seat, it would probably go for $1,000 or more in an avant garde furniture shop in Soho or TriBeCa!

  13. The thought of honey coming into contact with Edward makes me shudder. How on earth did you get it all out?

You might be interested to know that Edward received a blue ribbon yesterday in the neighbourhood dog show. His award? Most Like Owner!
    I am flattered.

  15. Honey adds a wonderful taste to just about anything, but perhaps not foie gras souffle. That would be an interesting combination! Wilf looking as comfortable as always! Keep on going Wilf and happy Halloween!!

  18. Sounds like Wilf had a terrific Halloween treat! Save the foie gras for his St. Andrew's Day treat.

  20. I love when little dogs lay on their backs like that. It's always so tempting to rub their bellies.

I've heard that honey has many healing qualities.
