The thrill of a new day .

Strange weather . Cloudy at daybreak . Cloudless and hot from ten onwards . ' Lourd ' the French word to describe the heavy , constant heat . Out with Wilf before it gets hot . He ambles through the sunflower fields at dawn, nose down , taking in the thrill of a new day . " A ship in a hrabour is safe - but that is not what ships are for ".

  1. Fortunately, Jack doesn't believe in dawn, so he doesn't make me get up to believe in it either! :)

  2. Those sunflower scenes are gorgeous! We're having the rain, but it's very cool.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  3. The view photographs are magnificent.

  4. We love the sunflowers. Ours are still hiding amongst their foliage, obviously not sunny enough for them in England!

  5. Your post reminds me that I need to embrace the day and move forward instead of looking back and standing still...

  6. What fantastic vistas today! I'd love to pass a view like that every day.

  7. lourd is definitely the word for it here... weeks on end of temps over 100. lord, i've had enough lourd. (you knew that was coming.)
    i love wilfee's quote today ...
and the courage he has to go forth everyday.
how beautiful is a water color cloudy sky!
the promise of autumn in the air... even if its hot air!
hugs and special tammy tummy rubs for our beloved wee polar bear,

  8. What a beautiful landscape, Angus.
I can easily see Wilf in the sunflowers.

  9. Oh I love the photos with the sunflowers and the background! Nice one.

  10. Love the photos!! We are having such silly weather all over the world! Let's hope Wilf keeps cool and happy. Keep on going Wilf...

With love from your Canadian pals,
Dianna along with Tor, Willow and Tucker

  11. That field of sunflowers is amazing! My neighbor has some and they reached up past her roof.

  12. Sunflowers and Wilf always make me smile. :)

    Blessings and Love,
    Janelle and Maggie Mae

  13. Ah Wilf! You are wealthy in wisdom!
